Hot Springs

Bagby Hot Springs is 38 miles upriver on Hwy. 224, accessible by a mile and a half hike through a serene old growth forest. There are hand-hewn log bathtubs in which to soak, but note: clothing is optional. Further east toward Detroit Lake is Brightenbush, a private hot springs resort with cabins to rent.

Mt. Hood National Forest / Bagby Hot Springs / Upper Clackamas River campsites and activities, including hiking, boating and horseback riding check out maps and information at Clackamas River Ranger District Station in Estacada (near Timber Park off Hwy 211/224/503.630.6861).

Lakes

Upriver on Hwy. 224 from Estacada you will find several mountain lakes including Harriet, Timothy, and Olallie. Float in your own watercraft, swim, and fish in pristine settings.
