Downtown Estacada
Downtown Estacada

Around Town

At first glance, Estacada is your stereotypical Oregon oasis: tree-covered parks, a gushing scenic river, a local craft breweries, a weekly farmers market and strangers who quickly become friends. But this woodsy city, just 30 miles southeast of Portland, is anything but ordinary. Known as the “gateway to the Clackamas River,” Estacada is a one-stop shop for wilderness, culture and community. It’s a historic city ready to be re-discovered.

Find the unexpected adventure, or discover uncommon art and culture. All right next door.  Pick up a free Visit Estacada Field Guide in town.  Take a walking tour of more than 25 larger than life, full-color murals that capture and celebrate Estacada’s rich heritage.  Stroll by the Clackamas River or visit unique local shops and galleries.  Visit our bike plaza on your way up the Cascading Rivers Scenic Bikeway, and plan your activities using our state-of-the-art, mobile-interactive kiosk.

Year-round Recreation!  Clackamas River Outfitters has you covered. Let the resident locals guide your river, lake or disc golf outing.  Book a guided tour, rent equipment, buy gear, get insider tips here. Grab to-go supplies from Harvest Market or Estacada ACE Hardware – friendly locals will help with what your looking for.

All these adventures lead to dining.  Stop by one of several local breweries, Clackamas River Growlers or Stone Circle Cider‘s farm for a locally brewed craft beverage or dine at a local food cart or locally owned and operated restaurants. Traveling with a group and fido too? Timber Town Grub has plenty of room, parking and logger-size meals too. Enjoy revitalized downtown, but wander a bit more and discover antiques, marketplaces, unique farms (did we mention Llama Ranch?) and the annual Estacada Farmers Market (from May through September) that brings area produce and makers to the heart of downtown.
