Alongside the Clackamas River and amid our fields, forests, lakes and streams, you’ll find an abundance of wildlife including heron and wood ducks, osprey, red-tailed hawk, woodpeckers, kingfishers, mallards, mergansers and even bald eagles, just to name a few. Head out on your own or stop by the Clackamas River Ranger Station to pick up a copy of the Cascade Birding Trail, which features 1,000 miles and nearly 200 key birding sites accessible by car. oregonbirdingtrails.org
